This is a 1 or 2 day route around tight and twisty B and unclassified roads in Derbyshire. At 166 miles this route will take 1 long day so 2 days are suggested. A small number of easy green lanes are incorporated and can be easily bypassed.
Running over 2 fords and seldom used roads, this route cuts it's way through the Peak District National Park. However be aware, petrol stations and even pub stops are few and far between on this route. However you don't need a BMW R100GS with 43 litre Acerbis Tank, or for that matter an Adventure Bike, as you are never far from civilisation, camp sites and pubs.
Below are Sat Nav files for uploading these routes to your GPS. Initially the route was uploaded as a loop, however this can cause conflicts when your device is following the route where waypoints are in close proximity where the route crosses over itself. So on 25/11/16 the gpx and gdb files were split into 2 routes, Derby-Glossop & Glossop-Derby and with more waypoints added. This will make upload much easier for your GPS to handle, however i strongly suggest using Garmin Basecamp or Mapsource on your PC so the route can be checked before use.
NOTE: The .gdb files and .gpx files should be checked once uploaded to mapping software on a PC and route errors corrected, directly loading into a GPS will most likely cause route errors. Narrowlaning.com takes no responsibility for how this data is used or inturpreted.
