Since 1960 Conwy Motorcycle Club have held the infamous Dragon Rally each February in and around The Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Limited to 1400 people the Rally is pre-book only and sells out every year. The twist being you don't actually know where the Rally is to be held until you arrive at the checkpoint. A must do rally for every enthusiast. 

Since 2004 the Alteisentreiber Interessensgemeinschaft Austria, (AIA), have organised their own Rally to reflect their character. Other Rally's could not rely on snow, often had raucous socialising, and were oversubscribed. Tauerntreffen is run by and for real enthusiasts, particularly of older motorcycles and combinations, and is invitation only. To get there you need to be able to drive a steep snow road and face bone chilling temperatures camping at 1700m. A unique event for hardy enthusiasts.
